Gulf Islands National Seashore will present "A Candlelight Tour of Fort Barrancas" on Saturday, February 11, 5-7:15 p.m.
The free tour highlights Pensacola’s involvement in the Civil War. In addition, the Fort Barrancas Visitor Center with museum exhibits, audiovisual programs, and bookstore will remain open during the tour times.
Pensacola celebrates Black History Month

This is just that time of the year, when you wish that with a blink of an eye you could escape the winter blues and be some where nice and warm where the fish are biting.
I did just that and took off to the Florida Keys. What a great place to hang during the winter months with summer-like temperatures during January and February.

Pensacola Museum of Art’s brilliant exhibition, “Woven and Wrapped: Kimonos, Clothing and Culture of Early 20th Century Japan” will conclude on Feb. 11.
Not to worry, because as the boldly patterned and brilliantly colored kimonos that reveal the dynamism of Japanese textile design in the early 20th Century depart, new exciting exhibits are on the way in.
