The Blue Angels Perform During A Practice Session

The Blue Angels practice over Naval Air Station Pensacola beginning at 8:30 AM during the show season. The Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Pensacola has a viewing area for visitors to watch the team practice. The team visits the museum to answer questions and sign autographs after Wednesday practices. Wednesday practices are highlighted in red below.

Bleachers are made available for approximately 1,000 spectators or you can bring a lawn chair. The team is very prompt so be assured that the show will commence on time. Each show is approximately 1 hour.

The Blue Angels Homecoming Air Shows
When: Friday, November 02 & Saturday, November 03, 2012
Where: Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.

The Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida will be Friday and Saturday, November 2nd and 3rd. Admission is FREE and the gates open at 8 am each day. Bleacher seating is available for $5 per person. The show includes displays of various aircraft, food, beverage and vendor booths. There will also be a Kids’ Zone, Sony Playstation II gaming area with bungee jumping and virtual reality. Home Depot is sponsoring a Kids Workshop Area with craft projects. The air show begins at 9:45 am, with the Blue Angels scheduled to perform around 2 pm. The pilots will sign autographs after the show. There will be a special night air show on Friday evening.

The back gate off of Blue Angel Parkway is the best way to enter the base. Chairs are permitted, but no coolers, backpacks, food, drinks or pets will be allowed. A handicap area is set aside for wheelchairs only. Please be aware that the aircraft can be VERY noisy and young children need protection for their ears. Layers of clothes are recommended since it can be windy on the tarmac.
